Project Cost, Deposit and Balance:
Based on total cost of project, Royal Granite requires a 50% deposit to start any project. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the project. The remaining balance will be automatically charged, within 24 hours of closing the project, to the same credit or debit card used to place the deposit. If an alternate payment method is desired for the remaining balance, the customer must contact Royal Granite no later than 24 hours after installation to provide a different payment method.
Although we only use Premium quality materials as Granite, Marble and Quartz, these materials are processed natural stone and they may contain natural occurring imperfection, which are characteristics of natural stone. These characteristics will include color, shade variations, irregular markings, pits, texture, veins, or fissures. However, part of the beauty of having natural stone is the characteristics, which will not impair the function or wearing of the materials. Royal Granite will not repair or replace any materials because of natural imperfections.
Customer responsibilities for Installation of Countertops:
Customer needs to remove all items from top of existing countertops, and all items from under the sink and Cooktop Areas if applicable. Customer needs to provide a clean path for installation trucks and Installers equipment. Including driveway access and as close as possible to the property entrance.
Royal Granite extends a Lifetime Warranty on our regular cost projects, including material fabrication and installation. This warranty does not cover accidental damage or stains, as stains fall under the description of accidental damage. Royal Granite applies a professional grade sealer as part of the installation process. Natural stone sealers are used to help prevent stains, but they are not guaranteed to stop all stains. The customer is responsible for proper care and keeping of the countertops. (Read our “Guide, care and maintenance of Natural Stone Countertops” on our Web site). Due to natural wear & tear and weather exposure, Outside Projects do not come with any type of warranty.
Plumbing, and Faucets:
As per Georgia law, Royal Granite does not provide plumbing reconnection services. The customer is responsible for plumbing reconnection, by either reconnecting the plumbing themselves or hiring a plumber to reconnect the existing plumbing. However, when we remove existing countertops, we will disconnect existing plumbing at no extra charge (no license required), Our Installation team will close the water valves to disconnect existing plumbing and will monitor the valves during installation and will notify the customer if there is a drip or leak. Royal Granite is not responsible for preventing, stopping or fix any valve drips or leaks. The customer is responsible to fixing any valve drips or leaks that occur during or after the countertops installation. Customer is responsible to provide their own faucets and have them on site the day of Installation.
Incidental Damage to Cabinet, Paint, Trim or Tile
Replacing kitchen or bathroom countertops is considered a major reconstruction of these areas. If included in the project’s Invoice, Royal Granite will remove the old countertops the same day of installation. Although we are very careful while removing a customer’s existing countertops, some incidental damage to tile, walls, paint, cabinets or trim may occur. These incidental damages are NOT covered by Royal Granite’s installation or warranty services. The customer is responsible for repairing any incidental damage to Tile, walls, paint, cabinets, or trim that occurs during or as a result of the installation process. The customer may hire a third party to remove the existing countertops at their own cost, if desired. If cabinets, tile wall, or trim are not straight, level or at standard height, Royal Granite will attempt to shim and level the new countertops within reason. The customer is ultimately responsible for ensuring walls, trim, and cabinets are even, and may hire a third party at their own cost if leveling these areas is beyond Royal Granite’s standard scope of work. Unless Tile Work is being purchased from Royal Granite and Included in the Invoice, Royal Granite Will not do any type of Repairs, Grout or Leveling of tile since this is considered Incidental Damage. Customer May hire a Tile Professional to repair any damage to tile or grout at customer’s expense.
Remnant material, or Remnant price
Any project built with remnant material, or sold at remnant price, is SOLD AS IS, and does not have warranty. The customer can review and approve material before project is built. Royal Granite will not replace or re-polish any stone once it is built and Installed or picked up by customer. The customer agrees to do due diligence when selecting and approving remnant material.
Our time window for Installation is two days:
Although most projects are installed on the scheduled date, Planning, Cutting, Building and Installing Stone countertops is a complex process. At times, due to unforeseen circumstances we may have to install the your project the day after the scheduled date. (Customer acknowledges that a delay on the Installation day or time does not grant any type of discount).
